There are several reasons why the calculated information may differ. Check that in both programs you have specified:
correct time zone — you may not have taken into account daylight saving time;
correct coordinates — check that latitude and longitude are not mixed up and do not exceed the maximum allowed values in fractional part (max. 59 ');
the same ayanamsha — traditional Lahiri ayanamsha is used by default;
the same system of domification — in the Jyotish tradition, an equal-house system with a cusp in the middle of the sign is used.
There are two views on determining the position of lunar nodes: true positions and mean ones. The true values of the nodes reflect their actual nature of movement, in contrast to the mean ones, where the speed of movement is always taken as constant and negative (retrograde movement). By default, the program on this site uses the true values.
There are three points of view on what counts as sunrise / sunset times:
when the top edge of the sun's disk crosses the horizon;
when the midpoint of the sun's disk crosses the horizon;
when the lower edge of the sun disk crosses the horizon line.
By default, the program uses the position of the middle of the sun disk, which may cause differences of several minutes compared to other software programs or services.
In JMC Calculator the calculations of Vimshottari and Yogini dasas are based on the length of the year equal to the mean sideral solar year = 365.256364 days. This, however, can be changed in the settings.
Make sure this meaning is the same in the astrological software you compare the result with.
There are several versions / schools / paramparas as to what the deities are called in divisional charts and which amsa they govern. JMC Calculator uses deities given in the «Brihat-Parasara-Hora-Shastra».
There are several reasons why the results may vary:
The Shadbala calculation in JMC Calculator is carried out according to the principles set forth in «Maan Sagari». Other programs may be based on other references, such as «Brihat-Parasara-Hora-Shastra».
Some of the Shadbala components such as Ayana bala and Cheshta bala, are calculated using simplified formulas, where the error is considered acceptable.
Astrological program settings may vary. For example, this refers to the definition of planetary war and the state of beneficence of mutable grahas (Moon / Mercury).
In Panchang, the beginning and end times of Tithi, Nakshatra, Karana and Nitya Yoga are indicated through the tilde sign (~), which means an approximate value. The error is up to one hour. This applies only to the time interval, however, the map for a specific date and time will always show the correct Tithi.
The error in calculating the interval is associated with the uneven angular velocity of the Moon.
There are two levels of definition of planetary friendliness and enmity: permanent relationship and temporary relationship. The program on this site summarizes the relationship and shows the result. For example, Neutral + Enemy = Enemy; Friend + Friend = Good Friend; Friend + Enemy = Neutral, etc.
There are several options for calculating Arudhas. By default, the program uses the method of calculating arudhas according to K.N. Rao (no exceptions). You can change it to your preferred option in the settings.
The period of seven and a half years is a average one and is subject to change. The speed of movement of the planets is uneven: in some signs, Saturn can linger a little longer, in others a little less.
In addition, depending on how Sade-Sati is calculated, its duration and start / end times also vary. Possible settings are as follows:
Saturn passes through the 12th, 1st and 2nd houses from the natal Moon (default);
Saturn passes through the interaplu from -45° to + 45° from the natal Moon.
In horoscopes, where the place of birth is located beyond the polar circle (more than 66° 33′ in latitude), the ascendant (Lagna) may not follow a sequential order. This is not a program error, but the peculiarities of the astroprocessor calculations.
Unfortunatelly, no, and it is not planned to. It is believed that it is much more useful to refer to calculations based on direct observation of the sky (Drik-siddhanta). In addition, sage Parasara initially recommended this method to us, and not to experiment with approximate formulas.
Parametric search works only with horoscoped indexed by the system. By default, when you create a new account, indexing of charts is not automatically turned on. To enable it, tick «Index my charts for parametric search» checkbox in your account settings. Horoscopes will be available for searching within an hour.
Unfortunately, no. However, the site interface is fully adapted for use on mobile devices of any format.
You can use both the adapted interface and the standard one with the possibility of zooming. To do this, simply uncheck the «Allow the use of adaptive interface on mobile devices» option in your personal account settings.
There is no need to convert the date into the Gregorian style — the program on this site converts the date automatically.
However, if you want to import a horoscope from Jagannatha Hora, then this horoscope must be with a date not earlier than October 15, 1482 and already converted to the Gregorian calendar.
Yes, you can enable the calculation of the desired elements you need in the settings on the tab «For calculations (1)», the item «Bodies to be shown in information table».
There is no such function as «a complete transcript» in the program on this site. And most likely you will not find it anywhere. There are only interpretations from some modern Jyotish books and classical treatises. All of them can be accessed by clicking on certain elements in the information table or in the chart. Also, there are descriptions of yogas on the «Yogas» tab.
First, none of the rectification techniques work 100%. The results of the program should be analyzed holistically, comparing them with rectification by events as well as analyzing the appearance of the native, his/her character, Ayurvedic constitution and other distinctive features.
Secondly, almost every mathematical (formal) rectification technique has more than one variation of computation and / or interpretation. Please, refer with reputable sources for more details on rectificarion process.
The horoscope calculator on this site displays the names used in Jyotish in Sanskrit by default. For those who have an account on this web site, the display language can be changed in the settings on the «For display» tab.
The definition of planetary war (graha-yudha) is ambiguous in various programs and paramparas. The program on this site uses an integrated approach to the definition of planetary war, which takes into account the following factors:
Latitude (not longitude!)
Natural brightness
Strength by relationship (sambandha)
Power by position in Rashi (graha loses power if it is debilitated)
You can change the setting so that the program determines the winner based on longitude only (the most popular method).
There are several ways to see transits with a map overlay.
By clicking on "Gochara" under the map: the current transits will be displayed in gray.
On the page in JMC Calendar: transits for any date will be displayed, natal positions in gray (available only for users with an Amber or Emerald subscription).
Also, by clicking on "Gochara" on the "Dasas" tab one will be able to see transits on the selected date, in the standard color scheme, but without natal position overlay.
In JMC Calculator it is only possible to display the aspects of the planets from the Sun to Saturn.
To do this, you need to mark the item "Graha drishti".
The display of the transsaturn planets themselves is available only for the Emerald subscription.
If you need to know the quantitative value of the auspiciousness of the moment (percentage), then this is available in the Emerald subscription only. Everything else is available in the Amber subscription.

You can switch from Emerald tier to Amber after the current subscription expires (free of charge).
When you purchase the «Subscription + Diary» service package, 360 days of the diary are added to your balance. After creating the diary, you will see the «Renew» button. When you click on it, the system will automatically suggest using the internal balance.
You can use either the entire balance or a part, depending on your own needs. This is especially true if you want to create a diary not only for yourself, but also for other family members.
Unfortunately, there is no service for changing the subscription tier. In order to change it, you need to renew the subscription for at least another month.
If you paid for the Amber subscription for a year, and then want to upgrade to Emerald one, then the surcharge will be calculated using the formula: difference in days * difference in prices / nominal duration
