Pushkara Navamsa

The term "pushkara" in Indian tradition is referred to as a special time for purification in the 12 sacred rivers of India, when one can take a dip and wash away the sins of past lives. Although rivers are sacred at all times, there are special times when they are filled with divine energy. "Pushkaram" means entering into the water of the river along with all the gods and goddesses, making the water of that river purified for 12 years.

Likewise, in astrology, there are certain parts of the zodiac that are sacred and become zones where we can be healed. These positions are known as Pushkara Navamsa. Pushkara navamsa are certain navamsas that increase the benefic power of the planets placed in them.

Navamsa is the most important varga. The placement of a planet in the navamsa determines its final strength and weakness after analyzing the rashi. Therefore, Pushkara Navamsa is also a very important aspect. It gives the planet the ability to heal and regenerate itself, allowing it to flourish regardless of the planet's other qualities. While people can get rid of their sins by taking a dip in holy waters during Pushkaram, planets in the natal chart get blessings and lose all their negative qualities in Pushkara Navamsa. It is important to remember that those whose lagna or planets are placed in the pushkara navamsa in their charts should seek blessings to change their lives for the better. Otherwise, these positions may simply remain unrealized.
